Needing no physical structure, the Kennari (TM) needs only the sky to power its solar powered battery. The Kennarri (TM) tablet can hold an entire grade level of courses, assessments, e-text and resources or an entire high school curriculum. There is no need for electricity, internet access or an inside classroom. Where there is sky... there is school. Our one purpose is to make certain that every human child has the opportunity for a basic education so that they might participate more fully in the global social and economic environment. It is only through educating our children, that we can secure our future.

Built by Datawind.com, the Ubislate 7ci is not only a smartphone and a tablet, but a computer, video player, internet device, E-book reader, game machine, music player and much more.
The UbiSlate is an Android touch screen tablet that has a HD video co-processor for a high-quality media experience and core graphics accelerator for faster application support The tablet is the only Android device in the market to offer DataWind's UbiSurfer browser, based on 18 international patents. With 18 US patents, more patents are in proces.
The device includes WiFi & GPRS connectivity allowing anytime & anywhere internet access and phone functionality. Optional 3G modems are also supported via USB. In addition to a micro-SD card slot, a full-sized USB port is integrated into the unit allowing pen-drives, external keyboards, web-cams, dongles and other inexpensive peripherals to be attached.

By coupling the tablet charger with the UbiSlate tablet, and by using its internal memory for courseware, e-texts can be interchanged by utilizing the mini SD card slot.
The solar battery charger can be charged by day (at a separate location) while students use their Porta-School tablet at their school location, or on the job site. Returning home each night, the solar charger can be used to re-charge the tablet for the next day's lesson.
With a 20-hr battery charge on board, the Kennari tablet make education accessible, inexpensive and extremely mobile.
Not dependent on the internet or electricity, the tablet can be synced to the main server and updated when internet access is available. An image of the UbiSlate home screen is show below.
To make the Kennari even more mobile and accessible, leather carry bags are provided to easily organize all the components of the Kennari, extra cords and e-text on Mini SD cards.
Colorful rubber bumpers, in a variey of colors, or personalized leather covers can also be purchased to keep your Kennari safe when going to the field.

Many villages or towns do not have a school building for a variety of reasons. Others do not have the technology or electricity required to use projection devices. For this reason, a solar-powered compact 85-Lumen pocket tablet projector is included with every Kennari.
Teachers can use walls, sheets or plastic projection screens to teach an entire class. Individual Kennris are not necessary and each tablet can contain one class, one grade level, or an entire high school curriculum or career/technical training program. Teachers can even chose the language in which they want the content delivered to accommodate local culture and custom.
